Hi Kifak Privacy Policy
In short: Hi Kifak is an AI assistant that runs entirely on your device. We have no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your conversations, photos, voice and files are processed on your phone and are never sent to us or to anyone else.
This policy explains how the Hi Kifak mobile app ("the app", "we", "us"), made by Mohamad Khalil, handles information. It applies to the app as distributed on Google Play.
1. Information we collect
We do not collect, store or receive any personal information through the app. In particular, the app does not:
- require you to create an account or sign in;
- contain advertising, analytics, crash-reporting or tracking software;
- send your messages, AI replies, photos, documents, voice recordings or memories to our servers (we do not operate any servers for the app).
2. Data stored on your device
To work, the app keeps the following data in its private storage on your device. Other apps cannot read it, and we never have access to it:
- Conversations you have with the assistant, and any photos, videos, audio or documents you attach to them;
- Memories: facts you ask the assistant to remember;
- Settings, such as your theme, chosen model, voice and custom instructions;
- AI models and voice packs you download.
This data is excluded from Android's cloud backup, so it is never copied to Google Drive or any other online backup. If you move to a new phone with Android's direct phone-to-phone transfer, your chats, attachments and settings can come with you; models are downloaded again.
You can delete conversations, memories and models inside the app at any time. Uninstalling the app deletes all of this data from your device. If you export your chats to a backup file, that file is saved where you choose, and you control it.
3. Permissions

To attach photos, videos or files, the app uses Android's system pickers. The app can only see the items you select, never your whole gallery or storage.
4. Downloads from third-party services
AI models and voice packs are large files that the app downloads, when you ask it to, directly from public sources:
- Hugging Face (huggingface.co), and
- GitHub (github.com).
Like any website you visit, these services receive standard technical information needed to deliver the file, such as your IP address and device/app type. They handle that information under their own privacy policies, linked above. No account or access token is used, and no conversation content is ever included in these requests. Once a model is downloaded, the app works fully offline.
5. Reporting AI responses
You can report any AI response that you find offensive or harmful. Reporting hides the response on your device. If you also choose to email the report to us, your email app opens with a draft containing the reason, any note you add, the name of the AI model, and the text of the reported response. Nothing is sent unless you send that email yourself. We use reports only to improve the app's safety, and we will delete a report and your email on request.
6. AI-generated content
Responses are generated by AI models running on your device and may be inaccurate. Do not rely on them for medical, legal, financial or other professional advice.
7. Children
Hi Kifak is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
8. Security
Because your data stays on your device, it is protected by your device's own security, such as your screen lock and Android's app sandboxing. We recommend keeping a screen lock enabled.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change how the app handles information, we will update this page and change the effective date above. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
